ISO 17025:2005
ISO 17025 accreditation gives a company greater strength in its confidence to produce competent testing and calibration results. It provides a company with the ability to demonstrate its commitment to ensuring that each and every analysis is absolutely compliant with the requirements specified in the quoted methodology.
This compliance extends to the assurance that materials or items that are tested / calibrated are controlled throughout. This includes but is not limited to accommodation controls, equipment validation, measurement traceability, test item handling and certificate production.
ISO 17025 is only ever audited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). They are the sole national accreditation body recognised by the UK government to assess against internationally agreed testing and calibration standards. UKAS operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government through the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.
